In this role, MARSS will work closely with its partners, including Echodyne and others, to coordinate the installation and intelligent integration of multiple sensors - including world leading RF detection and CUAS radar systems. The system also takes advantage of NiDAR’s sensor agnostic capabilities, integrating with the vessels’ existing cameras and navigational systems. All sensors will feed seamlessly into a single tactical picture, delivering highly advanced situational awareness and protection across surface and air domains, enhanced by NiDAR’s artificial intelligence.
The $4million installation also encompasses an array of countermeasures including loud hailers and searchlights. Having only recently secured the contracts, both contracts are scheduled for delivery within 2024.
These contracts build on a successful 2023 for MARSS, involving the delivery of NiDAR systems on five ships. These contracts included three yachts ranging in size from 65 metres to 125 metres, one legacy yacht upgrade and the installation aboard the Combat Support Ship, M/V Asterix, which provides at-sea support services for the Royal Canadian Navy.
Speaking of the recent success, Frederik Giepmans, Managing Director Safety & Security, comments, “I am very proud of what the team has achieved during 2023, and these latest contract wins are testament to their dedication and NiDAR as an industry leading product. Securing these projects is a great start to 2024, and we look forward to bringing our NiDAR security systems to many more users over the course of this year and beyond.”
