“CLiMBERguard combines the proven MOBtronic sensing technology with the power of NiDAR Core to provide the innermost security layer for vessels, maritime structures, perimeter walls and building facades”.
- Alberto Baldacci, VP Science at MARSS
The world's first operational high-accuracy climber detection system
CLiMBERguard is an automatic climber detection system for the instant detection, classification and alert of onboarding activities on the side of a vessel or maritime structure.
Each unit is self-contained and composed of micro radars, thermal cameras with video analytics and automatic data processing. CLiMBERguard continuously monitors activity based upon speed, persistence, radar cross section, shape and heat signature to inform operators of a threat or non-threat situation. The system is continuously active, even when a vessel is stationary.
Up to 80m
Long range detection for each CLiMBERguard unit
360º
Coverage for maximum security
High reliability in all sea environments

MARSS, a global leader in AI-powered security solutions, has completed a successful customer evaluation of its cutting-edge Counter-UAS capabilities.
MARSS showcased its world-leading NiDAR Command and Control (C2) CUAS system at a shakedown event sponsored by DEVCOM, held at Fort Drum, New York in August.
AI and data is set to transform the maritime industry, according to MARSS' Business Development Manager, Mike Collier.
MARSS Group is gearing up to showcase it’s NiDAR surveillance technology at this year’s Red Sands, demonstrating sensor fusion and end-to-end AI layered defence capabilities, for detection to denial of unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
MARSS signs $70million contract to deliver integrated logistic support for Middle East client
Man-overboard (MOB) technology is an area that’s attracting increasing attention in the marine industry. Novel capabilities and solutions are being actively designed, developed and deployed to better detect and locate those who have fallen from a ship.
In the wake of a successful 2023, marked by the completion of numerous major contracts, MARSS is happy to share a further contract win for the delivery of its comprehensive CUAS and surface surveillance system, NiDAR, to two prestigious yachts - a primary vessel and its support ship.
MARSS Group, a leading provider of AI-powered security solutions, recently announced a landmark contract win valued at over $20m, marking the first time its NiDAR systems will be operational on combat-facing vessels.
MARSS, a global leader in security solutions, will deliver and commission up to 40 of its RADiRguard high security surveillance units for a critical infrastructure site in the Middle East, as part of a significant contract valued at $5.5 million.
Defence technology expert, MARSS, is further reinforcing its commitment to KSA and across the Middle East, with the appointment of Nabil Alnoor Borhanu to Chairman of the Board and Group Managing Director.
